On Dec. 4 at 3 pm, 185 violin, viola and cello students will perform on the main stage of the River Run Centre in Guelph for the Suzuki String School of Guelph Snowflake Concert.
The concert will feature 15-year old violinist Emelene Rosen of Cambridge, performing excerpts from Vivaldi’s Winter from the Four Seasons accompanied by the school’s senior string orchestra, Concorde.
The concert will also include a performance by the Guelph Youth Dance Apprentice II Company directed by Janet Johnson.
The program will include classical and seasonal music.
The most popular part of the concert will be the beginner students ages 3 to 7, performing for the first time, officials state.
“Prepare to be delighted by these cute little children performing on miniature instruments with confidence and enthusiasm,” artistic director Paule Barsalou, said.
The concert is $10 for adults, $7 for children 12 and under and eyeGO allows high school students to attend for $5.
