Police are continuing to investigate the death of a Fergus woman here on Monday night, though foul play is not suspected.
On March 27 at about 8:10pm Wellington County OPP officers responded to Kitchener Avenue on the west side of Fergus for an unconscious woman on the road.
“Two citizens discovered the female while out walking,” police stated in a press release.
“The female was transported by Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.”
The woman was identified as Ashley Wilson, 33, of Fergus.
“Wellington County OPP is continuing to investigate but her death is not considered suspicious,” police stated, adding an autopsy was to be completed on March 28.
