WELLINGTON COUNTY – Wellington County experienced a major snowfall on the weekend of Jan. 12 to 14. Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a travel advisory for the period, but many motorists found themselves navigating snow-covered roads and whiteouts if they elected to drive.
While the wintry blast created some picturesque scenes, like the above view of the Maitland River from the Arthur Street bridge in Harriston, it also left local residents scrambling to clear driveway, walkways and parking lots.
