PUSLINCH – On July 4 at about 6:05pm Wellington County OPP officers responded to a report of mischief and theft from two vehicles that were parked in a trail parking lot on Arkell Road.
Police say suspects smashed the windows of two separate vehicles and stole purses and property that included cell phones, cash, identification and credit cards.
“Two males in a light coloured Honda Civic were observed watching the victim lock her purse in the trunk before heading out on the trail,” police stated in a press release.
“Wellington County OPP is continuing to investigate and is urging vehicle owners to leave valuables at home or carry them with you in a backpack while out on the trails. Unfortunately – this is not an uncommon occurrence.”
Anyone with information about this incident can contact the Wellington County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
