Wilson appointed managing director of corporate services

Councillors here are welcoming a familiar face as Centre Wellington’s new managing director of corporate services.

On Aug. 28, councillors authorized the mayor and clerk to execute a bylaw to appoint Daniel Wilson as managing director of corporate services/treasurer.

The appointment comes on the heels of the retirement of Wes Snarr on July 20.

Wilson takes on the new role effective Sept. 1 and will form part of the township’s senior management team in providing overall leadership for the organization focusing on council’s 2015 to 2018 priorities and initiatives.

Wilson grew up in Centre Wellington and previously worked for the township as a budget analyst and financial manager/deputy treasurer.

He has worked in the municipal field for 18 years with a focus on finance, legislation, asset management,]and policy development.
