MOUNT FOREST – The results from the Royal Canadian Legion Poster, Poetry and Essay Contest have come in, and there were 307 entries for the contest from Mount Forest-area schools.
Brody Nicholson, a Grade 10 student at Wellington Heights Secondary School, placed first at the branch level, and then finished second at the zone level in the Senior Boys Black and White Poster category of the Legion’s Remembrance Day Contest this year.
Nicholson will receive cash prizes and certificates from the Mount Forest Legion after the holiday break.
Sam Postill, a Grade 9 student at Wellington Heights, placed first at the branch level, and first overall at the zone level in the Intermediate Black and White Poster category.
Postill will receive cash prizes and certificates from the Mount Forest Legion after the holiday break as well.
In addition, Postill’s entry will move on to be judged at the district level.
