Welly Cask Fest supporting local Children”™s Foundation

Wellington Brewery’s  Welly Cask Fest will bring craft beer fans together to raise a glass and celebrate the rich history of cask beer in Ontario.

A portion of the proceeds from will go to support the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.

On Sept. 10 and 11 Wellington Brewery will host a two-day cask beer festival under large tents in the parking lot at the brewery.

The weekend festivities will feature more than 25 cask beers and ciders, food trucks, and live music. Each session will showcase unique Welly One-Off casks and collaboration beers alongside a selection of guest casks from Ontario Craft Brewers and cider makers.

Welly Cask Fest is an opportunity to celebrate all things cask while sampling some traditional styles of beer alongside a selection of unique small-batch brews and ciders, officials state.

Welly Cask Fest will also mark the brewery’s 31st birthday and will coincide with the completion of a major expansion which has been ongoing over the past year and a half.

The event will include guided tours of the brewery expansion with the first open to the public look at their new 40 HL brew house and world-class packaging line.

“It’s been a challenging year for us at the brewery with a lot of changes but we’re optimistic about the future and looking forward to bringing together our friends, family, and craft beer drinkers to celebrate,” said Wellington Brewery vice-president Brent Davies in a press release.

Welly Cask Fest will feature three  sessions: two on Sept. 10 and one on Sept. 11.

Tickets for each session are $20 plus service charge and are available now via Ticketfly.
