Stop in to Victoria Park Senior’s Centre in Fergus on May 7 from 9:30am to noon and learn more about Hospice Wellington residential and community programs including residence care, one-to-one volunteer support, art therapy, grief and bereavement and integrated wellness services such as therapeutic touch.
The event is presented by Rachel Hobson, Hospice Wellington integrated wellness coordinator, and Pat Hock, Hospice Wellington volunteer and Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario practitioner.
The event is part of CARE150 Therapeutic Touch Awareness Week.
Therapeutic touch is a natural healing method for relaxation and self-help, which officials say relieves pain, stress and anxiety, improves sleep and well-being. For more information on this program visit www.therapeutictouchontario.org.
