WELLINGTON NORTH – Police have arrested a local man on 12 charges related to the sexual assault of two minors.
Wellington County OPP officials, aided by the OPP Crime Unit, recently conducted an investigation into several incidents involving a man and two victims under 16 years of age.
“The accused and victims were known to each other,” police stated in a May 20 press release.
A 26-year-old man from Wellington North was charged with four counts each of: sexual interference, sexual exploitation and sexual assault on a person under 16.
He is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
“Victims of sexual assault are not alone,” police stated in a press release.

The information will remain anonymous and confidential, police add, noting anyone in an immediate crisis can dial 9-1-1.
