This year the Wellington North Farmers’ Market market will run on Friday afternoons from 3 to 6:30pm at the usual location: on King Street East at the Victory Community Centre in Mount Forest.
Opening day will be May 26 and closing day will be Oct. 6.
“A Farmers’ Market is a good opportunity for the community to connect. It allows us to buy from and support our local farmers and producers, thus contributing to our local economy,” said Dale Small, economic development officer for Wellington North.
“We are pleased to give our residents and visitors the opportunity to experience agriculture close up and hear the story of where their food came from, straight from the person that grew and prepared it.”
The Wellington North Farmers’ Market is once again offered through the collaboration and support of participating vendors, as well as Wellington North, Wellington North Cultural Roundtable, Mount Forest Victory Church, Mount Forest Chamber of Commerce, Arthur Chamber of Commerce, MARCC Apparel, Forest Physiotherapy, Print One and Taste Real.
Organizers wish to thank Pastor Harry Engel of the Victory Community Church, who for the fourth year is continuing in his role of market manager.
Interested vendors are asked to contact Dale Small at the township.
