FERGUS – The WCMA is set to present RePlay, a new art exhibition featuring Connections Fibre Artists that aims to celebrate the magic of play. Nostalgia meets artistic innovation in this unique show as the artists reinterpret beloved childhood toys and games as thought-provoking works of art, officials say.
Established in 1999, Connections Fibre Artists is dedicated to the exploration of fibre as an art form. Coming together from diverse creative backgrounds, members work together to raise awareness of fibre art, and to develop their talents by exchanging ideas and sharing new skills and techniques.
The installation will be open to the public from Oct. 5 to March. 6, with an official opening ceremony Oct. 6 from 1 to 3pm.
Admission is by donation and light refreshments will be available.
