Wellington County treasurer Ken DeHart has released remuneration payments and expense reimbursements by the county for its 15 councillors and the warden.
In all council work cost the county $772,700 last year.
The figures for 2012 were released as part of the Feb. 28 council agenda package. Release of the information is a requirement of the Municipal Act.
The county’s top politician, Warden Chris White, was paid almost $95,800 in salary and benefits. He also received expense reimbursement of $18,600 for a total payout of almost $114,500.
Councillor Joanne Ross-Zuj was the second highest earner on county council, with salary and benefits of $37,600 and reimbursed expenses of $13,800 for a total payout of $51,500.
Councillor John Green was paid $48,700, including salary and benefits of $36,000 and expenses of $11,800. Councillor George Bridge received a total payout of about $48,400 including salary and benefits of $37,700 and reimbursed expenses of $10,700.
Councillor Ray Tout was paid salary and benefits of $37,700 and reimbursed expenses of $10,200 for a total payout of almost $48,000. Councillor Dennis Lever was paid $47,000 including salary and benefits of $37,700 and reimbursed expenses of $9,450.
Councillor Gary Williamson received $44,650 based on salary and benefits totalling $36,000 and expenses of $8,600 and councillor Don McKay received salary and benefits of $36,950 and expense reimbursement of $6,100 for a total payout of $43,100.
Councillor Gord Tosh received a total of $42,900 including salary and benefits of $37,500 and expenses of $5,360.
Councillor Jean Innes received a total payout of $42,500 including salary and benefits of $37,730 and expenses of $4,700.
Councillor Lynda White was paid $41,500 made up salary and benefits of $35,000 and reimbursed expenses of $6,500 and councillor Ken Chapman received $41,300 from salary and benefits of $36,900 and expenses of $4,400. Councillor Bruce Whale received $41,300 including salary and benefits of $37,150 and expense payback of $4,160.
Coming in under $40,000 was councillor Lou Maieron at $39,250 made up of salary and benefits of $37,700 and expenses paid back of $1,540; councillor Mark MacKenzie who was paid a total of $39,100 including salary and benefits of $33,870 and expenses of $5,240; and councillor Shawn Watters who received a total salary of $39,000 including salary and benefits of $37,470 and expenses of $1,540.
The figures do not include remuneration paid to councillors as members of council in their individual municipalities.
