GUELPH – Award winning pianist Li Wang, recognized as one of Canada’s finest young artists, will perform works from the Romantic era at the Youth Music Centre on Feb. 15.

Wang will be playing one of his pieces on a Yamaha C3 grand piano that was recently donated to the centre by Dr. Donald Barnum, in memory of his wife, Arlene. For many years she taught voice and piano. Son John Barnum is well known for his work with the development of youth orchestras; for many years he was artistic director of the Mississauga Youth Orchestra.
The concert is at 2pm at the centre. All proceeds support programs and services there. A wine reception will follow the performance. Tickets are $75 for adults and $20 for students.
