The evening was marked by a silent auction and dinner.
Student trustees addressed the 400 attendees and shared their personal experience of Catholic education.
“We believe deeply in our call to make a difference. We are proud to be part of a community that gives in extraordinary ways,” said director of education, Tamara Nugent.
“The generosity of our sponsors and attendees is remarkable … It is a true sign of how we care for one another.”
The spirit of giving is lived out in many diverse ways by WCDSB.
“Recently all staff had an opportunity to live our mission together, along with our community partners through our PD day theme, ‘care for each other, care for our common home,’” explained Nugent.
Each school within the board and the Catholic Education centre staff spent time working alongside social service organizations
