Public Works Manager Gary Williamson wants to sit in on a coming meeting for water and sewer charges.
Williamson said recently there have been issues with the collection of water and sewer charges on properties where tenants have been responsible for paying the charges.
Landlords have objected to the placing of those on property taxes for collection.
The next meeting is to consider potential solutions, and Wellington North Power representatives will be on hand to provide comments as the agency collects the water and sewer charges on behalf of the municipality.
“I’d like to be part of that meeting whenever it takes place. This is a complicated issue which needs to get resolved,” Williamson said.
Councillor Dan Yake said the next meeting is April 28, and Judy Rosebrugh from Wellington North Power has been asked to attend.
