Students at Wellington Heights Secondary School are working to make the season a bit warmer for local families.
Nicole Haynes, a student in the business and leadership program at Wellington Heights is one of the people making that happen.
Haynes said Warm Winter Wishes is a class that finds ways to raise money and give back to the community.
“Basically we raise money and go out and purchase gifts for those who do not receive anything around Christmas,” she said.
Her role includes organizing a bottle drive on Dec. 10, from 11am to 2pm in the school parking lot, and later at Arthur Public School from 3 to 5pm. Haynes added, “All money raised that day will go towards those who need it the most in the community.
