Warden’s advisory committee approves committee appointments

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Appointments to 2021-22 standing committees of Wellington County council were approved at a meeting of the warden’s advisory committee on Dec. 11.

In addition to newly-acclaimed 2021-22 Warden Kelly Linton, who is a member of all standing committees, the committees consist of:

  • administration, finance and human resources, councillors Chris White (chair), George Bridge, Earl Campbell and Andy Lennox;
  • economic development, councillors Bridge (chair), Doug Breen, Campbell Cork and Jeff Duncan;
  • roads, councillors Lennox (chair), Alan Alls, Duncan, James Seeley;
  • solid waste services, councillors Gregg Davidson (chair), Diane Ballantyne, Steve O’Neill and Seeley;
  • planning and land division: councillors Alls (chair), Davidson, Mary Lloyd and Don McKay;
  • social services, councillors Dave Anderson (chair), Cork, McKay and O’Neill;
  • information, heritage and seniors, councillors Lloyd (chair), Ballantyne, Breen and Campbell;
  • police services board, Anderson.

Appointments to board and associations included:

  • accessibility advisory committee Linton, Lloyd and Seeley;
  • Groves Memorial Community Hospital, O’Neill;
  • Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health, Alls, Bridge and White;
  • Wellington County Plowmen’s Association, McKay;
  • Wellington Federation of Agriculture, Lennox,
  • Safe Communities, Cork; and
  • Guelph Business Enterprise Centre, Duncan.
