War of the worlds – On Halloween 1938 a thrilling drama was played out on live radio. It was Orson Welles’ War of the Worlds. On Oct. 23 inside the Fergus Grand Theatre the same presentation was played out. Director David Tanner did a masterful job in assembling the players for this play, which was so realistic it was easy to imagine what people experienced while listening to the original performance on their radio. Vision Productions and Fred Morris came out of retirement for this last show. The actors were dressed in period costume and there was live music that added to the show’s authenticity. photo by Bill Longshaw
