For many youngsters there’s nothing quite so fascinating as big machines and vehicles that do really big jobs.
Victoria Terrace Public School in Fergus is going to make it easy for families to get up close to a wide variety of vehicles and equipment at “VT’s Mighty Motors” on June 6 from 10 to 2pm, in the back field at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex, 550 Belsyde Avenue E., Fergus.
Admission is $5 each, or $20 for a family of four or more.
The line-up of mighty motors at the event will include police, fire and EMS vehicles, a garbage truck, combine, tractor, mobile wash truck, dump truck, school bus, excavator and lots more.
Food vendors on site include the Alma and Fergus Optimists and Mega Cones ice cream vendor, with a portion of the total sales going to the school. VT’s Mighty Motors will go ahead rain or shine.
The event is a fundraiser for an outdoor classroom and naturalized playground at the school. The $10,000+ project is currently in the planning and design stage, in consultation with Elmira-based Earthscapes.
