Members of four community groups gathered on May 1 at the home of Sharon and Bruce Kaufman to build 10 wooden garden boxes for the Clifford Community Gardens.
The volunteer groups – Clifford Rotary Club, Clifford Trails Committee, Clifford and District Horticulture Society, and Clifford Community Meals on Wheels – will be hosting the community yard and bake sale on first Friday and Saturday in June at the Rotary Park Pavilion.
Organizers are seeking support for shopping at the sale and contributions of gently-used items and fresh home-made cookies, cupcakes, cakes, tarts, pies, preserves, squares, crispie rice treats, bread, buns, and tea biscuits.
Call Vic Palmer at 519-327-8142 to donate or drop items off at the park on June 5. The yard and bake sale is scheduled to start at 4pm and close at 8pm. The yard and bake sale will resume on June 6 at 7am and run until 7pm.
