Wellington County OPP received numerous calls about vehicles being entered overnight on July 24.
Suspects targetted unlocked vehicles along Christine, Queen and Dennis Streets and stole items including wallets with cash and identification.
Police say more vehicles were entered overnight in Rockwood on Aug. 6 and 7. This time suspects targeted the area of Carroll, MacLennan, Henry and Parkedge Streets – again entering unlocked vehicles and stealing loose change, cigarettes and a laptop.
“In one instance a fire extinguisher was stolen and discharged into another vehicle two houses over,” police stated in a press release.
