On Oct. 18 at about 10am Wellington County OPP received a report of a purse stolen from a car while the owner was hiking.
Police say the break-in occurred sometime between 9 and 10am at Starkey Hill Conservation Area on Arkell Road while the owner was walking.
“While speaking with the complainant it was observed that the vehicle parked beside her had also had its front passenger window smashed,” police stated.
“The owners of that vehicle later returned and advised that a purse that had been left in the vehicle had been taken.”
