Following a report of a possible dog theft, the dog has been discovered in good health and reunited with his owner.
On Feb. 5, at approximately 2pm, members of the Wellington County OPP recieved a report of a possible dog theft from the Guelph Lake Conservation Area.
At about noon, the owner was walking her dogs off leash on the trails at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area. One of her dogs ran ahead of the group and out of sight near the end of the trail at Conservation Road.
By the time the owner and her other dogs reached the road, the dog was nowhere to be found.
The owner observed a black sedan leaving the area at a high rate of speed shortly thereafter.
On Feb. 6 at about 1pm, OPP were advised that the dog was located in an abandoned building on a Guelph Lake property by Grand River Conservation Authority staff.
