GUELPH – The Upper Grand School District School Board (UGDSB) will be participating in the United Way fundraiser for another year.
Last year’s fundraiser was altered to have only digital participation and despite the restrictions and changes due to the pandemic, UGDSB staff raised over $8,000 for the United Way campaign.
The board also managed to raise more money than the last two years despite being completely virtual.
This year, the UGDSB plans to have the United Way fundraiser campaign be both virtual and in-person.
This year’s campaign will also be split over the course of the school year. The first half will be throughout the first term and will mostly focus on fundraising among board staff.
The second half will be throughout the second term and will mostly focus on fundraising among schools in the board.
