GUELPH – The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) is looking forward to welcoming a new group of kindergarteners.
Registration for new junior (JK) and senior (SK) kindergarten students for September 2023 begins Jan. 10 and closes Jan. 27 at 4pm.
The board offers the following a step-by-step guide on the registration process:
– pre-register online at ugdsb.ca/kindergarten;
– once registered, ensure a confirmation email is received;
– make an appointment with the school to provide required documents (online or in person); and
– if applying to French immersion, complete application process, including submission of documents.
Online pre-registration allows families to fill out the pre-registration form when convenient. If parents and guardians require assistance or do not have access to technology, their child’s school can be contacted. The UGDSB website can be translated by clicking the “select language” button on the website. All UGDSB schools that offer JK French immersion have an enrolment cap. Those wishing to apply for JK French immersion must have completed pre-registration and applications by Jan. 27, at 4pm in order to be considered on time.
For more information on the application/selection process, visit www.ugdsb.ca/jkfi.
English track families should complete registration during registration time. Currently all registrations for the 2023-24 school year are for in-person learning. For more information about kindergarten registration visit the board website.
