WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) has announced principal and vice-principal appointments and transfers for the 2023-24 school year, effective Sept. 1.
High school principals
The new principal of Erin District High School (EDHS)will be Francis Noventa, who is transferring from Norwell District Secondary School (NDSS) in Palmerston.
The new principal at NDSS will be Adam Rowden, who is currently accessibility administrator.
Centre Wellington District High School (CWDHS) vice principal Kevin Taylor has been appointed principal of Westside Secondary School in Orangeville.
High school VPs
The new vice principal of NDSS will be Jane Godbold, the current vice principal of Orangeville District Secondary School.
Current NDSS vice principal Adam Martin will transfer to vice principal of Orangeville District Secondary School.
Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute in Guelph will have Christine Guadagnolo as the new vice principal, who is transferring from vice principal of John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute in Guelph.
EDHS’s new vice principal will be Lynne Vink, who is currently vice principal of CWDHS.
Ross Waltson is currently the temporary vice principal at EDHS, and he has been appointed vice principal of John F. Ross.
Elementary school principals
Minto-Clifford Public School’s new principal will be Tim Dickieson, transferring from Maryborough Public School.
The current principal at Minto Clifford Public School, Tracey Kuchma, is transferring to Drayton Heights Public School (DHPS).
The current principal at DHPS, Shannon Spike, is transferring to Victoria Cross Public School in Mount Forest.
Chad Guyitt, who is currently on leave, will be the new principal at Harris Mill Public School in Rockwood.
Harris Mill’s current principal Shashana Hare is transferring to École Arbour Vista Public School in Guelph.
Shawn Henderson, the current principal at Ross R. MacKay Public School in Hillsburgh, will move to Mono Amaranth Public School in Dufferin County.
The new principal of Ross R. MacKay will be Sean Singh, who is transferring from Hyland Heights Elementary School in Shelbourne.
Alan Gouk, who is currently vice principal at Arthur Public School, will be the new principal at Maryborough Public School in Moorefield.
Salem Public School’s vice principal Kyla Lightfoot has been appointed principal of the same school.
Elementary VPs
Palmerston Public School’s vice principal Heather Dyer is transferring to William C. Winegard Public School in Guelph.
JD Hogarth Public School’s temporary vice principal Nathan Adams has been appointed vice principal of the same school in Fergus.
Rockwood Centennial Public School teacher Anneke McCabe has been appointed vice principal of Arthur Public School.
Elora Public School teacher Tanya Morton will be vice principal of Palmerston Public School.
