A Tyler Lopers memorial golf tournament will be held on Aug. 23 at Pike Lake Golf and Country Club.
Lopers, who grew up in Drayton and had a love for Sports, was diagnosed with cancer in March of 2006 and unfortunately lost his battle that December at the age of 17.
Lopers is greatly missed by his family and friends, which is why this tournament is being hosted.
Proceeds from the tournament – which will be a scramble format and open to those of all ages and playing abilities – will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of southwestern Ontario.
The day will consist of 18 holes of golf, followed by an evening of events, including dinner, a small silent auction, contests, and prizes.
