Emergency Preparedness Week 2008 was a great success.
To help inform residents about the risks in their community and to help them to be better prepared for any emergency, information was provided at all 14 library branches.
A draw for two 72-hour emergency kits was held at the libraries during Emergency Preparedness Week.
The raffle was a great success with 480 entries.
The winners of the emergency kits were Karen Baxter, who entered at the Aboyne library branch, and Lisa Lester, who entered at the Hillsburgh branch.
