MINTO – Police have charged two more people in connection with the 2019 kidnapping and death of Jason John Brown.
Five people in total have now been charged.
Brown, 43, lived in Kitchener and was last seen on Jessie Street in Harriston on March 12, 2019.
His body was located the following day, just north of Whitby.
Last June Wellington County OPP officials announced that Travis Willard Wand, 30, of Wellington North, was charged with first degree murder, kidnapping and seven other crimes.
In November of 2023, police charged Joshua Alexander Drumond, 32, of Edmonton, and Steven Jon Walsom-Gerigs, 33, of Brantford, with kidnapping and first degree murder.
On Jan. 13, the OPP announced:
- Mathew Drumond, 38, of London, was charged with first degree murder and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence; and
- Jessica Martin, 35, of North Perth, was charged with first degree murder, kidnapping, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000) and three counts of obstructing justice.
Drumond and Martin are to make their next appearance in Guelph court on Feb. 3.

The province has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Brown’s death.
