GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Two men, one from Kitchener and one from Guelph/Eramosa, have been charged with aggravated assault after a 60-year-old was sent to hospital with serious injuries.
Wellington County OPP officials say officers responded to an assault at “a private residential community” on Highway 7, west of Guelph, on April 23 at about 6pm.
“It was reported that two known individuals had assaulted a resident and that the injuries were severe,” police stated in a press release. “A 60-year-old resident was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.”
Donovan Thomas Fischer, 23, of Kitchener, was charged with aggravated assault, assault, and failing to comply with a probation order. Colin Michael Fischer, 35, of Guelph/Eramosa, was charged with aggravated assault and failing to comply with a probation order. Both were held for bail.
