Police are seeking information after animal cruelty officials had to collect two large snakes, one of them dead, from the side of a local road.
On April 5 at about 8:30am, Wellington County OPP received a report about a “very large boa constrictor” along the 10th Line of Erin, just north of Wellington Road 124.
“(The) OPP attended and found two six-foot-long snakes, one in a lethargic state and one deceased,” police stated in a press release.
The Orangeville branch of the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) picked up both the snakes.
Police say “no other information about the snakes is known,” adding anyone with information should contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
