Twirling teams excel - The Superstars Baton Club competed in the annual competition at St Mary’s on April 27. The teams Friendship Is A Dance (Amelia Green, Josie Galloway and Millie Schnieders), Little Cupids (Mikayla Altena, Khloe Hall, Avah Kirby, and Niah Stewart), Footloose (Maggie Fisher, Cloie Hanlon, Annabelle Hodgson, and Sierrah Pichette), Hot, Hot, Hot (Chelsea McFadden, Ali Pratt, and Kylie Pringle) and Congo (Simone Arbour, Brooklynn Bokor, Alexis Herriot, Morgan Hutchison, Paige Irwin, and Lainey Saunders) all won first place. Rockin Robin (Olivia Cayer, Destinee Faust, Jamie Green and Jayda Saunders) placed 2nd. Honourable mention goes to Boogie Shoes (Jamie Green, Chelsea McFadden, Jayda Saunders and Lainey Saunders) and Phantom (Mackenzie Fraser, Alyssa George, Paige Johnston, Skylar Irwin and Shayla Logel). The twirlers are trained by Krista DiStasi, Alyssa George and Makenzie Worton of Fergus, and Bailey Pinder of Teeswater. Teams are preparing for their next competition in Ingersoll on May 11.
