Tree is lighting is Nov. 25

People are getting ready here to light up the downtown for Christmas.

Everyone is invited to attend the festivities on Nov. 25 at 7pm as the Fergus BIA lights the Christmas tree in front of the library. Guests can enjoy some hot apple cider and join the carollers singing favourite Christmas classics.

“Christmas is magical time of year for downtown Fergus,” said Jackie Fraser, chairman of the Fergus Business Improvement Area.  “Decorations will make the downtown sparkle and get everyone into the Christmas spirit.  It’s a great time of year to discover downtown Fergus.”

A number of retailers throughout downtown will be open late that night so people can begin their Christmas shopping.

“Everyone is so busy at this time of year.  Save precious time and gas money by shopping local,” said Fraser. “Everything you need is available right here.”
