Centre Wellington council has released council costs for 2007.
The total council pay was $117,288. There was a total of $25,550 paid for extra meetings, and conferences and seminars cost $27,395.
The individual breakdown, in order of total, pay, extra meetings, conferences, is:
– Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj , $36,181, with $23,148 in pay, $5,205 in extra meetings, and $7,827 for conferences;
– councillor Fred Morris, $23,211, including $15,432 in pay, $3,555 for meetings, $4,223 conferences;
– councillor Kirk McElwain, $22,211, $15,432, $3,605, and $3,595;
– councillor Robert Foster, $23,616, including $15,432, $3,955, $4,229;
– councillor Ron Hallman $18,022, including $15,432, $2,480, $109;
– councillor Shawn Watters, $16,752, including $15,432, $890, and $430; and
– councillor Walt Visser, $29,815 total, including salary of $16,975 (more than the others because of deputy-mayor duties), $5,860, and $6,979.
Council also has a committee of adjustment whose members are paid. Their total cost was $3,680.
