After a number of community input sessions, Guelph-Eramosa council approved the township’s parks and recreation master plan on May 21.
“This plan provides us with strategies to enrich active living in our township,” said parks and recreation manager Robin Milne. “With this document, we have an action plan for parks and recreation that will respond to our community’s current and future needs.”
CAO Janice Sheppard added, “The parks and recreation master plan is a positive step forward for our community.
“I would like to thank residents for their input and support for this plan, which will help us to prioritize projects and will support funding opportunities.”
The master plan can be viewed on the township website at www.get.on.ca or a copy can be picked up at the Municipal Office at 8348 Wellington Road 124.
