Centre Wellington council gave approval Monday night to a 2010 schedule for council and committee meetings, but few people believed it will followed to the letter.
Council has been forced over the term to reschedule a number of meetings, sometimes for a lack of an agenda, or because of conflicts and other duties.
Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj said of Deputy-clerk Kerry O’Kane’s report that it is “wishful thinking this will hold – but it’s a start.”
The meeting that night illustrated how council agendas can shift. Council handled a couple of bylaws and approved a land purchased, but the entire open session of council lasted less than 10 minutes.
