Guelph-Eramosa has supported the appointment of John Brennan as its representative on the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) board for one more year.
Brennan, a councillor in the Town of Erin, has been the GRCA representative for Erin, Guelph-Eramosa and Puslinch for the last three years.
His appointment was to end on Dec. 20 but Guelph-Eramosa council agreed on July 8 to appoint Brennan for one more year to coincide with the current term of council.

Also at its July 8 meeting, Guelph-Eramosa council agreed to approve a site plan application that facilitates the expansion of Sharpe Farm Supplies.
Officials with the business, located on Mill Road at Watson Road, plan to build a new 906 square metre (9,750 square feet) building for warehouse space and some office and supply sales.
A number of existing buildings and silos on the property will be consolidated into the new space, according to a report from township planning consultant Lana Phillips, of MHBC Planning.
Councillor Corey Woods said the application is exactly what the township likes to see.
“It’s an agricultural business on agricultural land,” he said.
Council unanimously approved the application.
