PALMERSTON – The Town of Minto, Minto Fire Department, and All Aboard Palmerston, are bringing back it’s annual Family New Year’s Eve event, Fire and Ice, which will be held at the Palmerston Arena from 6 to 8pm on Dec. 31.
The event is set to include a full slate of activities, related to the event’s theme.
Visitors can enjoy the best parts of the winter season with free public skating inside the arena, meet and greets with sled dogs, and take photos with the ice queen and princess. The event will also feature music by a local DJ.
Families can warm up around outdoor fire pits, watch fire artist performances, and grab dinner at Berlin 95 food truck, then head inside the arena for hot chocolate and snacks prepared by the Palmerston Kinettes and the Palmerston Traditional Scouting Group.
The event will end with an even bigger and better fireworks display than previous years.
“We are excited to host this event again after it was cancelled the last several years,” said marketing and community development coordinator Erin Raftis.
“We would also like to give a big thank you to our event sponsor, Blessings to You Centre in Palmerston for supporting this event,” she adds.
