ERIN – Officials here will be spending about $20,000 on what they are calling a “brand refresh” for the town.
The municipality announced the project in a press release on Sept. 4.
“It is our goal that the brand refresh will be modernized, honours our past, and will reflect our commitment to ongoing improvement and innovation,” Mayor Michael Dehn stated in the release.
“A brand refresh must represent our renewed connection to residents, visitors, the environment and businesses.”
The town announcement stated the refresh would include the current logo “and our collective story that defines us as a community,” thought it never explains what that means.
According to the release, “Unlike a major rebranding that introduces all new colour sets, themes, fonts, and a redesigned logo, a brand refresh is a less intensive process of modernizing and updating a brand’s existing identity, images, and visual communication.”
The announcement did not include a price tag for the exercise, though spokesperson Chris Vernon told the Advertiser the “estimated cost” is $20,000, “depending on what creative services the town decides on.”
Trajectory Brands has been retained by the municipality for the project, which town officials say will “modernly reflect our story, our past, and our inspiring future.”
