ERIN – The Town of Erin is inviting residents to participate in the 2025 Recreation Community Survey, available now at erinengaged.erin.ca.
The aim of the survey is to “assist staff in identifying programs and services that address community needs, determine desired amenities for a new community centre, validate data collected in 2021, and update the 2019 Parks and Recreation Master Plan,” stated a town press release.
The survey is open until May 18.
For those who prefer to engage in person, the town will be hosting three community open houses – two in-person and one virtual.
While walk-ins are welcome, attendees are asked to register online, especially for the virtual participation, to receive the access link 24-hours in advance.
Community open house dates are April 10 at 7pm at the Erin town hall, April 15 at 5pm at Centre 2000 and April 23 at 7pm online.
Thompson Park concept plans
Residents were also invited to review and provide input on the concept park plans for Thompson Park, located in the new Erin Glen development.
“We are committed to expanding our programming and facilities to meet the needs of the growing community,” stated Jennifer McPetrie, director of community services, who encourages residents to participate and help spread the word.
“This survey and public engagement are the first steps in this important process,” she added. “The data collected will guide the future of Erin Community Services and ensure they evolve to enrich our community’s quality of life.”
