ERIN – Town officials announced on June 27 that Erin has hired a new senior planner.

Jessica Peake will fill the position as of July 8.

Erin officials stated in a press release that Peake has “more than two decades of experience and expertise in land-use planning.”

She previously worked for the Town of Georgina, York Region District School Board and the City of Oshawa.

“Her background in implementing strategic planning initiatives will be invaluable in shaping Erin’s future development in the coming years,” states the town’s press release.

Town officials say Peake “is qualified as an expert witness at the Ontario Land Tribunal” and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph and a Master’s degree from Queen’s University.

“She will report to Erin’s manager of planning and development, David Waters,” stated the release.
