Family Day on Feb. 18 will kick-off Tropical Fun Fest at the Clifford community centre.
The door will open from 10am to 10pm. Everyone is invited. Admission is free, with special interest programs, games and activities for the whole family.
At 6:30pm, those who want to attend the screening of Lars and a Real Girl can board a shuttle bus at the hall and be driven to the Norgan Theatre in Palmerston. Call Gord Duff at 338-2511 for advance tickets. The shuttle will return to the Hall by 10pm
Admission is $10.
Brenmar Transit Inc. will be providing a courtesy shuttle bus for movie-goers to leave from the hall at 6:30pm and to return about 10pm.
Youth dances will be held there every Friday starting Feb. 22. Pre-teens will have the 6:15 to 8:15pm time-slot for their dance party, with a $5 admission .
High school students and teenagers (14 to19) will have 9pm to midnight, with a $7 admission.
There will be adult supervision and zero tolerance for any inappropriate behaviour.
More than 100 people came to the previous of A Touch of the Tropics at the Clifford community centre on Feb. 9, when the doors were open for a sneak preview of the hall’s theme decor.
