Celebrity chefs, musicians, artists and activists were on hand at the Gladstone Hotel on April 5 to announce the launch of Waterstock in Hillsburgh.
The event is scheduled for June 11 from noon to 5pm at Bela Farm overlooking the Nestlé well in Hillsburgh.
Waterstock is anticipated to attract thousands to Hillsburgh to demonstrate their opposition to Nestlé’s renewal for water taking permits in Wellington County.
It is intended to be the culminating event in the next phase of the Wellington Water Watchers (WWW) campaign to demonstrate to Premier Kathleen Wynne what they call “the broad public support to deny renewal of Nestlé’s permits to take water in Wellington County and to phase out permits for all water bottling in Ontario.”
