An Arthur resident has died following a three-vehicle crash here on Monday. Emergency crews responded to the scene on Dufferin Road 109 west of Grand Valley on March 1 just after 12:30pm.
6. OPP: human remains located near Mount Forest identified as missing person
Wellington County OPP have identified the human remains located on May 4 just south of Mount Forest as missing person, 30-yr-old Levi Edward LARTER. He was last seen on Nov. 8, 2020. Police believe this is an isolated incident with no threat to public safety.
7. CWDHS student charged in assault that sent fellow student to hospital
A Centre Wellington District High School student was sent to the hospital after being assaulted by a fellow student, the latest incident in what some students and parents say is an escalating pattern of abuse and violence targeting the school’s 2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC and special needs students.

Township councillor Steven VanLeeuwen has joined the “End the Lockdowns Caucus,” a group of politicians opposed to COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the province.
9. Geddes Street Market to open this spring in former L&M grocery store
A new grocery store, the Geddes Street Market, will be opening in Elora this spring. Debra Kropf will own and operate the store that once belonged to her parents, Merlen and Doreen Kropf, at 169 Geddes Street.
10. Fund set up for family of Arthur woman who died in crash
A fundraiser for the family of a local woman who lost her life in a tragic car crash has already raised over $73,000. Chelsey Kamphuis, 29, of Arthur, died in a three-vehicle collision on Dufferin Road 109 west of Grand Valley on March 1.
