A three-vehicle collision here last week sent five people to hospital – but luckily no one was seriously injured.
On June 26 at about 6:30pm, emergency crews responded to Wellington Road 12 at the 12th Line, east of Drayton, where police say three vehicles collided, resulting in multiple injuries.
The OPP, Mapleton firefighters and Guelph-Wellington paramedics responded to the call.
“A local female driver and her toddler were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, as were an adult male driver from Waterloo and his adult female passenger,” stated an OPP press release. “The third driver, a local female adult, went on her own to be examined by medical staff.”
The road was closed for several hours for the investigation. Police say charges may be pending.
The OPP is asking anyone who witnessed the collision to call 1-888-310-1122.
