GUELPH – City Police are asking the public’s help after they received three separate reports of businesses in the north end of the city who report a theft of copper overnight on Oct. 3.
Sergeant Douglas Pflug reported that in each case the unknown suspects broke into fenced in compounds on Woodlawn Road West, Dawson Road, and Campbell Road and stole various amounts of scrap copper. There are no suspect descriptions available at this time.

Wellington County citizens might also want to keep an eye out for copper thieves. They have also been very active in Grey County over the past few months.
