Elora Community Theatre’s spring production is The Kitchen Witches, written by Caroline Smith and directed by Denise Gismondi.
Isobel Lomax and Dolly Biddle are two “mature” cooking show hostesses who have hated each other for 30 years – ever since Larry Biddle dated one and married the other.
When circumstances put them together on a TV show called The Kitchen Witches, the insults were flung harder than the food. Dolly’s long-suffering TV-producer son, Stephen, tries to keep them on track, but as long as Dolly’s dressing room is one inch closer to the set than Isobel’s, it is a losing battle. Then, the show becomes a ratings smash as Dolly and Isobel top both Martha Stewart and Jerry Springer.
Tickets may be ordered by calling Ralph Basset Associates at 519-843-4852.
The show will be presented at Fergus Grand Theatre April 25 to 27 and May 1 to 3. All are 8 pm evening performances except the Sunday matinee on April 27 at 2 pm.
