Life’s unexpected pitfalls can be hilarious – as long as they’re happening to someone else!
Following the outrageous antics of The Last Resort, which launched Drayton Entertainment’s 2015 Season at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse the laughter continues with the hit comedy The Crazy Time.
This contemporary comedy about men trying to understand woman – and how they never will – offers a refreshing spin on life, love, and relationships.
Miles Gladstone is a successful business man with a trophy wife and a happily married daughter. His life seems perfect, until things get a little … crazy. The Crazy Time follows Miles after he finds his perfect world upended by a series of disturbing revelations.
The Crazy Time is penned by award-winning American writer Sam Bobrick. In addition to his 30-plus stage plays including Murder at the Best Western, the 82-year old author honed his comedic chops working as an accomplished television writer for such classics as Bewitched, The Flintstones, Get Smart, Saved By The Bell and The Andy Griffith Show.
Director Marcia Kash is at the helm of this quirky comedy. An internationally produced playwright with multiple shows to her credit, Kash has directed several productions for Drayton Entertainment, including farces Boeing Boeing and Run For Your Wife last season. She is joined by Set Designer Ivan Brozic, Costume Designer Jessica Bray, and Lighting Designer Simon Day.
Regular performance tickets are $42.00 for adults; $25.00 for youth under 20 years of age. Tickets for preview performances scheduled before the official opening and groups of 20 or more are $34. HST is applicable to all ticket prices.
