CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Barrel Boys band will be making a comeback at St. John’s Anglican Church in Elora on Nov. 24 as part of their annual Christmas tour.
The Barrel Boys began performing together in 2012 and performances around Christmas have always been an important part of their concert season.
In 2014, they released Carols from the Barrel, an album of bluegrass arrangements of well-known carols. Ever since, they’ve had fun programming Christmas concerts across Ontario.
During 2020 and 2021, they released special online performances of skits and songs that raised over $10,000 for Sistering, a shelter service in Toronto.
Last year they were thrilled to return to live shows when they performed a five-city tour.
In 2023, The Barrel Boys have been charming audiences across Canada with notable summer performances in the Yukon, Alberta, Northern Ontario and right here in Centre Wellington for the Elora Festival’s summer Barn Dance.
Expect an upbeat and virtuosic performance featuring beautiful vocal harmonies, ripping bluegrass fiddle and banjo and funny and sentimental Christmas tales at this year’s Carols from the Barrel.
The Barrel Boys will have stops in Midland, Burlington, Toronto, Brampton, Smiths Falls and in Elora.
Tickets are available through their website at thebarrelboys.com.
