Test-drive event will raise funds for lodge and camp

Reliable Ford is bringing Ford Motor Company of Canada Ltd.’s innovative Drive 4 UR community program to Fergus in an effort to raise funds for the Belwood Lodge and Camp.

For every person who test drives a Ford vehicle at Reliable Ford on July 11 from 9am to 2pm, Ford of Canada will donate $20 to the camp.

“Belwood Lodge and Camp is very important to Reliable Ford, and to me as a member of the board,” said Nicole McCabe, finance manager and dealership operations assistant for Reliable Ford.

“We’re so proud to be able to host this event that will help make it more accessible to the community who need it. Not only does it give us the opportunity to give back, but it allows us the opportunity to showcase Ford of Canada’s high-quality vehicles and innovative safety technologies to parents, teenagers and other drivers.”

Belwood Lodge and Camp is a residential summer camp dedicated to meeting the summer recreational needs of children, youth and adults who are mentally challenged. The programs are designed to provide exceptional experiences while ensuring safety and a positive holiday experience.

The funds raised will go towards adding accessible sidewalks and updating its sporting facilities, as well as updates to its programming, especially around science and Sports.

Test drive participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household.
